Operation Christmas
The struggles and sacrifices that NHS professionals and patients endure over Christmas often go unrecognised. Spending the holiday season in a hospital can magnify feelings of loneliness and isolation. Operation Christmas is a central fundraising campaign designed to remind these individuals that they are not alone. Partnering with Starbucks, this initiative fosters compassion and an extended sense of community during the festive season..
Problem: Christmas may mean a break for many, but for the NHS, it’s business as usual. Over five million hospital admissions occur in December, with 87,000 people spending Christmas Day in hospital. The toll on both patients and NHS staff is immense.
Insight: Over five million hospital admissions take place over the month of December, 87,000 people spend Christmas Day in hospital. Many hospitals and charities already fundraise on a local basis, but a national campaign could amplify efforts and impact.
Solution: We believe the National Health Service deserves a national fundraising campaign. Operation Christmas seeks to centralise fundraising efforts, boosting awareness and increasing donations. Through coordinated fundraising and widespread support, we can create a movement that ensures no one in hospital this Christmas feels forgotten. Working alongside Starbucks ensure that some of the proceeds from every Cup purchased, goes directly into delivering Christmas to hospitals around the country.
The deliverables: Advertising campaign, mock-ups, and promotional video/animation.
